TriBeCafe is scheduled to open tomorrow, Feb. 9, in the old Tokyo Bar space at 277 Church (White/Franklin). It’s from the team behind Greenwich Grill, according to the website, the menu will be “Tokyo Casual Cuisine.” Not sure what that means? Have a look at the menu. But be prepared for sticker shock—and I mean that in a good way. Entrées max out at just $16, and pastas are $7.50–$9 (though portions, if Greenwich Grill is any indication, are more Japanese than American). Here are some photos; from top, scallop carpaccio, mushroom spaghetti, mentaiko spaghetti with squid and spicy cod roe, and steamed vegetables.
