••• Harper’s Bazzar interviews artist Marina Abramović—and even better, takes a few photos in the Tribeca townhouse that “she recently purchased to share with close friend Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci.” That’s one above, by Jason Schmidt.
••• The Broadsheet interviews Alan Phillips, who owns Battery Park City restaurants Pick A Bagel, Wei West, Beans & Greens, and Izzy & Nat’s. He doesn’t live here (but plans to), interestingly.
••• “BatteryPark.TV has learned that at approximately 5:30 a.m. [yesterday] morning, an Asian man, approximately 20 years old, somehow fell from his window and died upon impact at 300 Rector Place. The police have confirmed that. However, other details are pending as to whether this was suicide, accident, etc.” Horrible, obviously. But I’m not sure why his ethnicity bars bears mentioning.

Why his ethnicity ‘bars’ or ‘bears’ mentioning?
Asian or Mormon, they always have to mention it. Whereas Italian or Methodist would get a bye.
(my point is it’s annoying and unnecessary) :)
