It’s Official

Three weeks ago, Tribeca Citizen broke the news—with help from an informed reader—that the Louis Provenzano parking garage at 24 Leonard would be turned into condos. The sale was just reported to the city:

The word had been that the buyer is Tribeach Holdings, which also developed 19 Beach and 61 N. Moore. (The law firm is Meister Seelig & Fein, not Seeling.) As my source said before:, the air rights were previously sold to 34 Leonard next door, so the new building won’t be taller than the existing one. But because the site falls just outside the Tribeca West Historic District, the Landmarks Preservation Commission won’t have any say over it.
