Seen & Heard: New Maternity Shop

•• Maternity designer Rosie Pope is opening a shop at 55 Warren; the brand already has shops on the Upper East Side and in Santa Monica. UPDATE: I had no idea that she’s also a TV character! How exciting-ish! From Wikipedia: “Rosie Pope was born around 1980 in London, England. As the founder of the Rosie Pope Maternity couture maternity store/lifestyle brand and the MomPrep parent education studio/concierge service, she caters to expecting millionaire parents. Her hit Bravo reality show, Pregnant in Heels,”—a sequel to Sex in Thigh-High Boots?—”is what catapulted her to the spotlight.”

••• Anthony Notaro, chair of the CB1 Battery Park City Committee, left a long comment regarding the committee’s recent meeting.

••• @MMDevoe noticed that the under-reconstruction Corbin Building has a surprising window thing going on near ground level.

••• The film “Winter’s Tale” is shooting on Warren and Murray today. From IMDB: “A fantasy story set in 19th Century and present-day Manhattan and revolves around a thief, a dying girl, and a flying white horse.” With Matt Bomer, Will Smith, Russell Crowe, Colin Farrell, and Jennifer Connelly.

••• Anyone able to recommend a plumber? A reader wants to know.

••• Press release: “Costavolcano, fashion-eco brand from Chile is teaming up with Project Unwritten of Original Women, an online boutique of women fashion designers specialized in artisan, sustainable materials, for a One Day pop-up shopping event in Tribeca, at Gateway—15 Laight St, on Thursday, December 13th from noon to 9pm. Entrance is free!”

••• The façade work at 50 Varick—where the Spring Studios complex will be on the top floors—is taking shape.
