Seen & Heard: Loft Tour Tickets on Sale Now

••• Work finally appears to be starting at Tetsu, the Masa teppanyaki restaurant coming to 78 Leonard.

••• This year’s Inside Tribeca Loft Tour—a benefit for the Friends of Duane Park, and the next best way to ogle your neighbors and their stuff—is Oct. 20. Ticket info here. You might as well buy them now, since it always sells out.

••• Pret a Manger is either moving forward at Broadway and Thomas or it’s bailed on the space. I’d bet on the former, but the removal of the signage could go either way.

••• A sign in the window at Steven Alan Home Shop says that you can not get 40% more off all sale items. (Had I know it was having a sale at all, I’d have bustled over long ago.)

••• I hear that the long vacant storefront at 112 Hudson, next to Tribeca MedSpa, has been rented as office space. Know more? Reach out and touch me.

••• From the ARChive of Contemporary Music: “Each year The ARChive of Contemporary Music focuses on a music of the country or culture to celebrate and promote. In October 2013 we will create India Music Week. This will be a full week of  concerts, radio shows and academic events occurring around the world. You can view our first two efforts at muslimworldmusicday.com and  Brazilian Music Day—each of these sites drawing more than a million visitors.” And this: “On Sunday, Oct 6, we will launch the week with a massive dance at the South Street Seaport, and with the help of DJ Rekha set the Guinness World Record for the largest Bhangra Dance! We expect 5,000 – 10,000 dancers!” More info here.

••• The Tertulia chamber music series will be at the Greek on Aug. 26. Ticket info.

••• Maybe I’m just wishing, hoping, and dreaming, but it looked to me like work might be nearing completion on the southeast corner of Hudson and Laight.
