New Kid on the Block: B Dry Blow Bar

B Dry Blow Bar prides itself on giving you a customized style. While there’s an array of styles to choose from, you can also go off menu: The stylists use the “French method,” which takes into consideration your face’s shape and your cranial structure, as well as factoring in your post-blowout plans. If you want to look like Beyoncé in a recent video, they can do that—just show the stylist an image on the iPad at each of the ten stations, which also stores magazines and B Dry’s menu of sample styles. Products being used include Kevin Murphy, Unite Haircare, and Moroccan Oil. There’s no cutting and no color, but B Dry does makeup and scalp massage. And they’ll even make house calls.

This is the company’s first outpost in New York City (the first is in South Beach), and more are planned in Midtown and Hoboken. The experience is meant to be a pampering one, with Champagne, cappuccinos and other espresso drinks, chocolate, a jar of cookies on the front desk, and more.

The salon is open seven days a week, and you can book online. First-time clients get 50% off. As always, make sure to tell ’em that Tribeca Citizen sent you.

B Dry Blow Bar is at 88 Leonard (between Church and Broadway), 917-633-5712; bdryblowbar.com.
