CAN TRIBECA BE SAVED?

The event will be held at the New York Academy of Art on Franklin Street, and the presentations will be followed by a cocktail reception. Reserve tickets here. Sponsored.

SNAPSHOTS OF TRIBECA’S GENTRIFICATION
Curbed asked for a moment or instance that captures the gentrification of the neighborhood. Here’s what I came up with, along with what I wished I had said. What would you have suggested?

TWO NEW FAST-FOOD RESTAURANTS
A pair of major hamburger-centric chains are said to be opening in Tribeca, and unfortunately neither is a Shake Shack.

AN ACROPHOBE’S WORST NIGHTMARE
Two window cleaners were stuck dangling at the 69th floor of 1 World Trade Center.

INSIDE THE FULTON CENTER
I wouldn’t want to make the case that it’s worth the $1.4 billion cost, but for anyone passing through, it’s a marvel.
