Municipal Building 6514••• Urban planner Moses Gates thinks New York City should open “the terrace of the Municipal Building, 36 floors high in the beautiful Beaux-Arts skyscraper by the Brooklyn Bridge. Since the building is already public, if some small upgrades were done to make sure it could handle additional traffic, opening the terrace would be as simple as unlocking the door.” Yes! —New York Daily News (via Curbed)

••• “An SUV struck a woman in the intersection of Duane and Greenwich streets Friday morning, Feb. 13, hurling the victim at least five feet, according to a witness.” The victim’s condition is unknown. —Tribeca Trib
