••• Did you know that Whole Foods sells frozen pizza slices? Handy in case of emergency. Photo by Albert C. Lee.

••• Related: Diane Cimine took this photo of an Army Corps of Engineers icebreaker.

••• For posterity’s sake, here’s a shot of the back of 24 Leonard (the parking garage being turned into condos) before it gets changed.

24 Leonard seen from Worth••• On my way to Pier A for lunch yesterday, I checked out the progress on the SeaGlass carousel in Battery Park.

SeaGlass••• On my way home, I checked out the progress on the 64-story condo tower going up at 50 West.

50 West••• And I warmed up for a bit at Brookfield Place. The ground-floor lobby of 225 Liberty isn’t open yet, but you can walk from Hudson Eats (there’s a door by Umami Burger) through 225 Liberty to 200 Liberty.

  1. That picture of the stuck ferry is spectacular. Nice one!

  2. I’d say it’s only a matter of time before that lot on Worth St is replace by condos as well.

  3. Erik, what did you think of the food at Pier A?

    • I ordered fish and chips, and it was good. But fish and chips is usually a defensive order for me (when I saw “chicken strip basket” or something like that on the menu, I shifted into defensive-dining mode).
