Seen & Heard: Has Man of the World Ditched Its Tribeca Plan?

••• Robert Janz sent over a great photo of one of his Glyphar sculptures—and the shadow it’s casting at Carini Lang.

••• Coming up at Brookfield Place: “60 dance ensembles will perform 60 one-minute dances set to world-premiere music by 60 different composers for a whirlwind performance in the Winter Garden at Brookfield Place on October 23.”

••• From a reader: “I recommend that you see The Walk in 3D—and preferably IMAX)—just to admire the shots of Tribeca (and the sandy beach of Battery Park City), if not to enjoy the quite good flick.”

Still from Chantal Akerman 1977 film News From Home••• C. sent in a still from News from Home, the 1977 documentary by Chantal Akerman, who recently died. She says it’s Greenwich Street looking north to Vestry/Desbrosses. UPDATE: Josh points out that News from Home is on YouTube. Watch the first five minutes to see when Staple Street had a second bridge across it and the part of Greenwich mentioned above. UPDATE: Apparently that YouTube video got removed. Try this one.

••• The same anonymous commenter who says that Rag & Bone is coming to Tribeca says that Man of the World is indeed bailing on its plans for a shoppable mancave at 1 White. It wouldn’t be a huge surprise, since the company decided to do a smaller version in Williamsburg.

••• Two more shoots:

—The TV show “Limitless” is shooting today and tomorrow (and yesterday) in the W. Broadway/Franklin area.
“Broad City,” which the flyers call “BCS,” is filming in the Varick/Laight area tomorrow.
