In the News: Two Kids Arrested in Ball Field Attack

••• “Two boys, ages 16 and 14, have been arrested in the Dec. 19 attack on two local teens near the Battery Park City ball fields. Police say the 16-year-old, Desmond Jack, is charged with second degree felony robbery and misdemeanor assault. The younger boy, whose name is being withheld because of his age, is charged with third degree robbery. Police say that Jack, who lives on St. James Place in Manhattan, turned himself into the First Precinct station house on Tuesday, Jan. 13, and the 14-year-old, also of Manhattan, was arrested at the station house on Dec. 9.” —Tribeca Trib
