Seen & Heard: Kiki de Montparnasse Is Open

••• “History repeats itself,” notes Robert Ripps of the makeshift bridge at Canal, where there was once an actual bridge….

Canal bridge by Robert Ripps••• Just in time for Valentine’s Day: Kiki de Montparnasse has opened in the former All Good Things space on Franklin. Full report to come. (Photo taken by the Steven Sclaroff during last weekend’s storm.)

••• Just in time for SXSW: Tenoverten has opened its first salon outside New York it: It’s at the South Congress Hotel in Austin.

••• Speaking of life outside NYC…. I’m going to L.A. for a few days in March and I could use restaurant recommendations. Not fancy but very good food and ideally on the west side. We’re already planning on Lucques because Suzanne Goin’s Sunday Suppers cookbook is my husband’s bible.

••• A comment of note: “The George Taylor space will be available at the end of the month at a reasonable rent. The landlords, us, are 4 art related families who are not looking to making a killing in the real estate market. Sincerely, Allan Boutin.”

••• Rosie Pope is having a sample sale of maternity wear and baby clothes on Thursday and Friday (January 28 and 29).

••• Todd Snyder is selling a Tribeca T-shirt for $65.
