Seen & Heard: Another 7-Eleven?

••• New Jersey’s Jenga building is winning this battle.

••• Congratulations to the imminent debut of Mulberry & Vine‘s second location, at 55 W. 27th (between Broadway and Sixth). It soft-opens late next week and officially launches Monday, March 7.

••• I heard a rumor that one of these two pretty storefronts at 95 Chambers will be a 7-Eleven. Haven’t been able to confirm it, though.

95 Chambers••• The word is that the Hickey Freeman suit store at Brookfield Place will open next month. (It’s on the second floor, across from Kamakura Shirts.)

Hickey Freeman at Brookfield Place••• Signs posted at Chambers and Broadway for another “Law & Order: SVU” shoot on Thursday.

  1. Contrary to what many people believe, all 7-Elevens are actually franchises – so in effect these are individual entrepreneurs operating their own small business.
    Keep this in mind haters!

    • Yeah…but most franchisers offer protected areas. I’m surprised 7-Eleven corporate would sell two franchises this close to each other.

  2. The new one will be a 7-12. You know, like Kansas Fried Chicken.
