Seen & Heard: Key World Trade Center Corridor to Open Monday

••• An email from Community Board 1 about a job fair for the Westfield World Trade Center mall and Fulton Center says that the WTC mall will open in August. Can’t remember if we knew that.

••• The more interesting World Trade Center news, from a Community Board 1 Facebook post about the moving of the PATH station entrance (as discussed here): “New direct access from the Transportation Hub to the West Concourse that connects to Brookfield Place, Battery Park City and ferries to New Jersey will open on Monday, June 27.” (The photo below of the soon-to open area is by Hudson River.) Currently, you can get underground from Brookfield Place to the World Trade Center to the Fulton Center, but it’s not a clean, easy route. (Not sure how they can claim this links anything to the ferry system….) Also in the notice: “Later this year, the street-level entrances to the [World Trade Center Transportation] Hub at Church and Greenwich streets will open, along with the remaining two PATH platforms that are under construction.”

••• Demolition is underway at the YogaSpark studio coming to 158 Duane.

YogaSpark••• The “for rent” sign at 345 Greenwich (where Hombom Toys most recently was) is down, and there were people inside when I walked by yesterday. I think I recognized two local business owners, and I’ve reached out to them for any info they might share.

345 Greenwich••• More signage at Harold’s Meat & Three in the hotel formerly known as Tommie. I’m surprised they put the restaurant on Renwick. I guess they’re not going to rely on foot traffic….
