REQUIEM FOR THE RACCOON LODGE
Today’s is the Raccoon Lodge’s last day, and it’s going out with a bang: The party starts at 11 a.m. and runs through the night. Owner Ace Nowara was kind enough to let me take a million photos of the Lodge, for posterity’s sake.

SPOTLIGHT: CHURCH STREET SCHOOL FOR MUSIC AND ART
“We’re the only non-profit school for the arts below Canal Street,” says co-founder Lisa Ecklund-Flores, “and I’ve always felt like the school is a vessel for the community to use any way they want.” She estimates that 10,000 students have studied there since it opened in 1990. Instead of True Food Kitchen, Brookfield Place will now be getting Cheesesteak Egg Rolls, Lollipop Chicken Wings, and a Wagyu Patty Melt.
