Seen & Heard: Former NYSC Space to Be a Preschool

••• Paul, who lives at 311 Greenwich, says that the former New York Sports Club space will be “sort of day care/nursery school.”

••• Playgarden is opening an outpost on the Upper East Side (1366 Madison).

••• Opening tonight at Patrick Parrish: Marcus Tremonto’s Mon Monde: “Using materials like aluminum and copper foil, acrylic, paper pulp and hand-built electrical components, the show underscores regular motifs in the artist’s work—abandoned cities, nocturnal landscapes, found objects, and emphasis on light as a medium. Mon Monde is an eerie, beautiful panorama of nighttime imagery realized through a series of illuminated sculptures, paintings and wall murals.”

••• Nice to see some action in the retail spaces at 23 Warren. Fanhero, at street level, “is an engagement and intelligence platform that helps businesses, non-profits and individuals broadcast their message, reach out to their audience, increase their revenues, build authentic relationships with their fans, customers and followers and make intelligent choices using the latest technology, data science and analytics.”

••• And downstairs is Book Nook: “With an unclear transition between each grade level from nursery to preschool to grade-school, Book Nook was created to bridge the gap. Founded by an award winning Early Childhood Educator & Reading Specialist, Book Nook’s goal is to introduce the learning techniques and skill sets necessary for educational growth and success.”
