When Smorgasburg announced it would be opening on the vacant lot at the northwest corner of Canal and Sixth, the word was that its sister outfit, Brooklyn Flea, would be included. But then the huge ground floor space at 100 Sixth (at Watts)—parents will know it as the former home of NYC Elite Gymnastics—became available, so Brooklyn Flea set up shop there instead. The market will be open Saturdays and Sundays for the next two years; as you can see below, there’s a lot of browsing fun to be had. P.S. As far as I know, Smorgasburg is still on track for early August.
