Seen & Heard: Walker Street Restoration

••• I’m not generally into the city’s Restaurant Week promotions, but I think Bâtard‘s prix fixe could be worth considering (whatever it turns out to be). Summer 2017 Restaurant Week is July 24 to August 18.

••• As TribecaMom noticed, a new sculpture show has opened at City Hall Park: Earth Potential, by Katja Novitskova. More info here.

••• The next 1st Precinct Community Council meeting is this Thursday, June 29, at 6:30 p.m. at the precinct house.

••• Also June 29: “concrete realities, a two-person exhibition by Tom Burr and Andrea Zittel,” opens at Bortolami. “Since the 1990s, Burr and Zittel have trained their attention on the built environment, addressing questions of site-specificity, subjectivity, and the body. This exhibition focuses on their ongoing projects in sites outside of art world centers, which find the artists developing distinct, but congruent methods of tackling their overlapping spatial concerns.

••• The glimpse you can see of 35 Walker’s restored cornice has me excited for the full reveal.

••• Did we know that a Pret a Manger is opening on the Fulton side of 222 Broadway? (Did we care? There’s another Pret a block and a half down Broadway.) It’s next door to Verts, a burgeoning fast-bowl-food chain.
