New York Nautical Is Setting Sail
A “for lease” sign has appeared in the window at New York Nautical, the maritime shop at 200 Church. (The rent is getting raised.) It’s been in Tribeca since the 1960s—first on W. Broadway, then Duane—and on Church for the past three years. Given its previous ability to locate a new home, there’s always hope it’ll find a way this time. Such a truly unique shop, especially in a sea of Sephoras, Starbucks, Duane Reades, Ricky’s and other similar repetitive chains.
Hope they find a new home in the area.
What happened to the 10 year lease? (2016)
The 10 year lease started in 1Q 2014. (From the April 2016 post: “We moved to 158 Duane in 2004, and 200 Church two years ago.”)
Further to the window signage, Sinvin has this listed as a sublease term through February 2024, with photos of New York Nautical.
