1) Pier 26 Update – Madelyn Wils, President, Hudson River Park Trust

I just need to vent for a second. The way the committees are organized now is not working! Many have one or maybe two items on the agenda, but Licensing has umpteen. It worked so much better by area. Anyway, it’ll be nice to hear what’s going on with Pier 26. From last December, when the renderings (including the one above) were revealed: “They called it a ‘concept design,’ but they also said that they’re hopeful construction will start a year from now, so must mean this design is pretty far along. ‘We have all the money for this, and I don’t get to say that very often,’ said HRPT president Madelyn Wils.”

1) 200 Water Street, application to the City Planning Commission for arcade infill and plaza upgrades – Resolution

9/26 CB 1 Monthly Meeting – 6:00 PM

All documents relating to the above agenda items are on file at the Community Board 1 office and are available for viewing by the public upon written request to man01@cb.nyc.gov. At all meetings, additional items may be raised as “New Business.”

  1. thanks for the update. following the pier 26 development is so important. has anything been mentioned about storm resiliency? unfortunately, pier 26 was built at the same height as pier 25. pier 25 suffered big damage after sandy and it only makes sense to design 26 to handle the inevitable flooding.
