Seen & Heard: Wine Bar Opening Forecast

••• Vin Sur Vingt, the wine bar coming to the former Babesta Threads space at 66 W. Broadway, is hoping to open the week of October 2.

••• The spa at the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown is open to the general public (and has been for a while, but it wasn’t when the hotel debuted a year ago). The menu is available via this page, and the space is quite pretty. The jewelry behind the front desk is from Ash + Ames, which the hotel rep said is based in Tribeca; this is apparently the only brick-and-mortar opportunity to check it out.

••• I also got a tour of the hotel, including a stop at the terrace outside a suite on the hotel’s second-highest floor. Nice view of the Oculus—enjoy it until 2 World Trade Center gets built….

••• “BOA” was shooting on Duane last Thursday; I assume it was for Bank of America.

••• Here’s a peek down into 100 Franklin. A rendering of the finished project is here.

••• Date night! As part of its Andy Warhol Archival 16mm film series, the Roxy Cinema is showing Warhol’s Blow Job on September 22, along with Tarzan and Jane Regained: “Blow Job is a silent film, directed by Andy Warhol, that was filmed in January 1964. It depicts the face of an uncredited DeVeren Bookwalter as he apparently receives fellatio from an unseen partner.”

  1. I really wish 2WTC wouldn’t happen. The Oculus deserves the open space.

  2. Four Season’s Spa is attractive and convenient for downtown residents. Found it to be quite small and the ladies lounge underwhelming. Wanted more !
