Seen & Heard: Atera’s Spinoff

••• Adorable art from Monsters of New York.

••• I couldn’t attend last week’s Community Board 1 Licensing Committee meeting, but a source who was there passed along these details about the plans for 71 Worth: “They own Atera up the block. Beer and wine license, contemporary American cuisine, six tables with 12 seats, one bar with nine stools. Hours: 4 p.m. to. midnight Sunday through Thursday, and till 1 a.m. on Fridays.”

••• Press release: “This Friday and Saturday (Sept. 21-22) from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Café Forgot [pop-up at 165 Duane] will temporarily transform into a real café! Jzuj will be providing a selection of their favorite natural wines paired with small plates and some snacks for sale. Come relax, recline, recuperate and shop.”

••• Attendees to last night’s Dîner en Blanc were spotted by N. gathering at Washington Market Park; the event itself was on Governors Island.

••• “Can’t keep with all the recent shoots on Franklin,” says S., “but nice departing gift left in the street. Been here three days now.” That’s why I think the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment should have a hotline for complaints. You can try calling the office’s general numbers, but that’s not quite the same thing.

  1. Here’s a link to the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment- https://www1.nyc.gov/site/mome/about/email-the-commissioner.page. They were very responsive when I wrote them.
