Seen & Heard: 6 Stone Street for sale

A bit far afield, but such a cute building, and Tom Miller has one of his excellent histories of the place, though it is not banked on the TC site (as of yet). For sale for $7.5 million, 9,000 square feet delivered vacant. The CofO allows for the first three floors to be commercial use, the top two for residential.

BPC SECURITY BARRIERS
Additional security barriers (75 in total) were delivered and are now being placed throughout Battery Park City. The first were placed around Pier A Plaza last spring. This batch above was spotted at the start of Hudson River Park just north of Chambers. I’d say they are a bit better looking that the NYPD’s concrete bricks, but not by a lot.

BARE CANDLE
Hudson River reports that there’s a new store in the World Trade Center – Bare Candle — the flagship location for the producers of organic naturally-scented soy candles. The boutique has hundreds of unique scents from a collection of more than a dozen of the world’s best selling candle brands including Yankee Candle, WoodWick, Bridgewater, Nest and Thymes. That’s a lot of candles!

BEERS OF LONG ISLAND
I feel obliged to give a shout-out to my hometown brew crew: Oyster Bay Brewing Company — in town for week two of the Winter Garden beer festival. (Though of course when I lived there, it was more of a Bud Light kinda place.) Thursday, Feb 28, 4p, Brookfield Place. On tap this week: Long Island Barrier Brewing Co. (Oceanside, New York) Blue Point Brewery (Patchogue, New York) Greenport Harbor Brewing Co. (Greenport, New York) Oyster Bay Brewing Company (Oyster Bay, New York) Montauk Brewing Company (Montauk, New York) Featured Restaurant: Fuku.

45 PARK PLACE SLOWLY BEING REVEALED…
But its façade is not quite as it was rendered in the original drawings. Compare and contrast.
