HELP PACE GET ITS NAME IN MOSAIC
CB1 is helping pace get its name attached to a local subway station – much like NYU or Columbia – with a Change.org petition. The goal is 5,000 signatures by April 15. Join, or use social to promote #NextStopPace.

TRIBECA ART+CULTURE NIGHT THIS THURSDAY
The spring “edition” of TAC is on for Thursday, March 7, starting at 6p with 15 fine art galleries, 3 design spaces, 9 art-based non-profits & university galleries, 2 artist residencies and 18 artist’s studios, and 7 pop up & non-traditional spaces. The event will spotlight contemporary art, design, fashion, dance, virtual reality, music and crafts, and feature some well-known locations in Tribeca typically closed to the public. Highlights include 150 works on paper by Andy Warhol at the New York Academy of Art, the art of hat making at BM Franklyn, Sebastian Errazuriz’s 100 colourful stuffed birds crystal chandelier at R&Company and the Bronx Museum’s 2019 artists in residence in their newly opened space.

The night will close with an Art Party in a lobby transformed by installations and performances. General admission for the night is free, but some workshops have a small fee of $10, and the VIP tour that includes the party costs $35. Tickets can be booked here.

FOUNDER LEAVING BEST MADE
Peter Buchanan-Smith, the founder of Best Made, the shop at 36 White with the axes and more, is moving on to “catch his breath before embarking on my next venture.” His last day will be March 31. He started the company 10 years ago this month, and sold it to Bolt Threads two years ago. The story will live on. He had this to add in his announcement:
I will miss the products, the far flung adventures, and the wonderful customers and talented partners, but most of all, I will miss my team (present and past). What a great gift it was to collaborate with them in creating the wonderful world of Best Made- together we made miracles happen!

COMMISSARY COMING TO BWAY AND WHITE?
The eastern half of the Harley-Davidson showroom at 378 Broadway and White is being turned into a commissary kitchen for delivery-only restaurants (The name on the DOB paperwork is someone who works at CloudKitchens.) Thinking that the people who live on nearby blocks can expect a huge increase in traffic of all kinds, including electric bikes/scooters/etc.
