350 BROADWAY CONSTRUCTION
The condo conversion known as The Leonard and 101 Leonard has a variance to allow for construction as late as midnight, and neighbors are unhappy (although none showed up). The project manager was there to explain that the work has only gone as late as 10 p.m., and it’ll mainly end by mid-November—they have to rush to get the roof replaced because it turned out to be highly deteriorated. Then work should mostly stop at 6 p.m.

SIDEWALK-CAFÉ LICENSE RENEWAL: DEAN’S (349 GREENWICH)
No changes. Vote: 9-0.

LIQUOR-LICENSE CODIFICATION TASK FORCE
The committee decided to create a task force to come up with guidelines for liquor-license applications.

BEER/WINE LICENSE APPLICATION FOR CRAVE ESPRESSO BAR (386 CANAL)
I didn’t catch the hours, but since the license is beer/wine only and Crave Espresso Bar is on Canal, the committee wasn’t in the mood to object. Maybe they can change the name to Crave Espresso & Bar? Vote: 9-0.

LIQUOR-LICENSE ALTERATION FOR ATERA (77 WORTH)
Atera is adding liquor storage, wine storage, a private dining room, and possibly other changes, but the committee cut them off before they could go on, calling for a vote: 8-0-1.

BEER/WINE LICENSE APPLICATION FOR TRIBECA’S KITCHEN (200 CHURCH)
The Gee Whiz folks decided to go for a beer/wine license instead of full liquor, knowing that the State Liquor Authority will rubber-stamp it. They’ve been working with the residents to try to come to an agreement that allows for full liquor, but since the lease is signed and has no way out, they can’t wait any longer. A couple residents shows up to object, but the committee decided that the objections were no longer in its purview. The hours are midnight seven days a week (a concession made by the restaurant). Vote: 8-0. A resident stormed out in a huff.
