You’ve read about how art fairs are changing the way art is bought and sold. Now Tribeca is getting in on the trend with the Art on Paper fair, to be held on Pier 26 from March 5 to March 8.

What’s the Art on Paper fair, you ask? “Art Market Productions is pleased to announce Art on Paper, an art fair from the producers of Miami Project [….] Art on Paper’s exhibiting galleries will feature work by artists who look to paper as a major influence in their sculpture, drawing, painting, and photography. Art on Paper will be a new kind of art fair—a focused fair offering a medium as a conversational catalyst. Working alongside the Hudson River Park Trust and the Brooklyn Museum, Art on Paper will bring the best in modern and contemporary art to downtown New York’s Pier 26.”

The creative director is Sasha Wolf, whose gallery used to be on Leonard Street. There are 62 booths, according to the floor plan:

Tickets start at $25, but of course you can pay more: $50 (which also gets you in the opening night party) or $150 (which gets you into the pre-party preview, the party, and the fair).
