Seen & Heard: Swedish Music Technology Pop-Up

••• The BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center’s sorta-monthly Tribeca Meet & Greet is next week: at “the Drama League space in the historic AT&T Long Distance Building at 32 Ave of the Americas on Monday, October 19 from 6:30–9 p.m. Everybody’s welcome and this is a free event. Come with ideas or just come to shake hands—let us know how we can work together as businesses, families or individuals. This is also your opportunity to experience the amazing lobby of this building as well; there is an amazing mural that’s open to the public.”

••• Gloria Steinem will make an appearance at Betty’s annual holiday show at City Winery (Dec. 5).

••• Baked is throwing a party for the release of Mouthfeel‘s second issue. (That’s the new magazine about food through a gay lens.) May have to drop by for a T-shirt…. UPDATE: One second after I posted this, notice came through that it’s been canceled. UPDATE: No, it’s back on. I think I just got caught in the middle of a Facebook event update.

Mouthfeel••• The Ming store in the Seaport is now showcasing Swedish music/tech company Teenage Engineering.

courtesy Teenage Engineering••• Up next at the Pen Parentis Literary Salon: “Three acclaimed authors of thought-provoking literary fiction, Elisa Albert, Lucinda Rosenfeld and Will Chancellor, who will read from new works and discuss art and life balance at Andaz Wall Street in Lower Manhattan on Tuesday November 10, at 7 p.m. The hotel provides complimentary wine and light refreshments and admission is free and open to the general public. RSVP recommended via penparentis.org.”
