Seen & Heard: New Eyelash Salon

••• On Instagram, Jack’s Stir Brew said its café on Reade will open within two weeks.

••• The former postal-service store at 130 Church (Warren/Murray) is now Lashlove, an S&M parlor eyelash-extension salon.

••• Not to rain on the parade, but if Frenchette opens in September—or even October—I’ll eat my chapeau.

••• So upset that Kee’s Chocolates closed its Soho store. Midtown is too far!

••• A restaurant called Westbourne is opening in the former Navy space on Sullivan. From a job-listing site: “west~bourne is rooted in a mission of wholistic hospitality: to take care of our neighborhood. A nod to the irreverent spirit of 1960s Los Angeles, west~bourne embraces the power of possibility, wellness, and adventure of the west coast. Accidentally vegetarian with a laid-back vibe, every detail including our community of creative partners is curated with California craft at the core.”

••• The building known (to the developer) as One Manhattan Square continues to grow on the eastern horizon.

  1. That One Manhattan Square is definitely enormous. Curious to how many people with $1.5-5 million dollars plus $2-5k a month in HOA and taxes would want to live in a building with that many units. Plenty I would imagine.
