••• Tribeca Hair Studio has opened in its new location at 74 Chambers.
••• The iPic movie theater in the Seaport District is getting into live events. For three nights in October and November, “world-renowned entertainer Oz Pearlman” will perform “an evening of mind reading and mentalism.” Tickets appear to start at $99. But maybe watch this first.
••• The TV show “Blacklist” is shooting in the Warren/North End Ave. area today.
••• And Tampax is shooting an ad in the Chambers/ Broadway vicinity.
••• N., who has persistently been looking into the cobblestone situation on Greenwich near Laight, got word that the city’s Department of Transportation is getting a cost estimate to repair the cobblestones. It seems less like a repair situation and more of a total do-over, if you ask me. (Photo by N.)
••• From M. at Independence Plaza about the sidewalk sheds: “We were told a couple months ago in a resident newsletter that the sidewalk sheds had to stay up until all the work was completed at all the buildings. So the 310 Greenwich sidewalk shed has to stay up until the 80 N Moore work is completed (the last building of the three).” hat always seemed like the logical explanation, and yet with Harrison Street dividing the complex, one would think they could take the southern half down….

Vuitton’s Travel Exhibition Will Unpack Its Trunks in Manhattan
The showcase debuted in Paris and has already traveled to Japan and South Korea.

TRAVEL BUG: If any exhibition was meant to travel, “Volez, Voguez, Voyagez — Louis Vuitton” is it. And now it’s coming to America.
The showcase, which details the French brand’s roots via trunks, steamer bags and other historic paraphernalia, is to land at the former American Stock Exchange building in New York City for a nine-week run. It is to open to the public on Oct. 27 and run through Jan. 7, 2018.
The exhibition debuted at the Grand Palais in Paris in 2015 and has since touched down in Tokyo at Kioicho and in Seoul at DDP. The Manhattan version is to include new display elements focused on the Americas.
It would be so much more exciting if the museum weren’t devoted to the company.
The super at 376 Broadway is collecting donations for Puerto Rico. Drop off boxes set up in the lobby.
Ugh, not until the spring for McNally Jackson?? ::sigh::
