In the News: Worker killed at Hudson Square construction site

The Post reports that a man was killed Saturday morning on the site of 570 Broome, a condo going up in Hudson Square: “A construction worker who was an Army war hero and a dad of four was fatally crushed early Saturday, when a 7.5-ton counterweight fell from a crane during work at a luxury condo site in Soho. Lifelong Bushwick, Brooklyn, resident Gregory Echevarria, 34, died instantly in the gruesome, pre-dawn accident at the corner of Broome and Varick streets.”

TRUMP IN 9/11 FRAUD?
The Broadsheet watched US Rep. Jerry Nadler on CNN’s State of the Union this past Sunday where he charged that Donald Trump fraudulently obtained $150,000 in federal aid after 9/11 intended to aid small businesses in Lower Manhattan that were adversely affected by the destruction of the World Trade Center complex.

LIVING HOLOCAUST HISTORY
The Broadsheet has a reflection on the installation of the rail car from the Holocaust from David Cohen, a 36-year resident of Battery Park City and the co-founder of Masterpiece International, a firm based in Lower Manhattan that specializes in transporting fine art objects for most of the world’s major museums, galleries, auction houses and private collectors. In this capacity, he helped manage the recent transfer from Europe of the rail car that is now on display outside the Museum of Jewish Heritage.
