TAYLOR SWIFT AND THE BIG REVEAL
The facade at Taylor Swift’s several-a-plex townhouse/apartment at 153 Franklin is now revealed after months of construction. It looks refreshingly like the neighborhood and not the home of a mega star. And for your viewing pleasure, this fan’s funny gif of the reveal and the artist.

ESCAPE CLIMATE CHANGE
This is a wacky idea, but for the first three weekends in September, the Human Impacts Institute will present the Climate Change Escape Room on Governors Island in Nolan Park. Participants will be tasked with puzzles and clues relating to solar, wind, recycling and other aspects of sustainability in order to change the course of climate change in NYC. The event is free, but you can reserve a time slot here.

PARKOUR ON THE PLAZA
A team of parkour coaches from The Movement Creative will use games and obstacles to get kids moving around the built environment on several Saturdays this fall: Sept. 14, Oct. 5 and 12, from 11a to noon at the Brookfield Plaza. All levels welcome, recommended for ages 7-13.

NITEMIND LIGHTING OPENS IN SEAPORT
The team from Nitemind, the lighting designers who create immersive installations for stage, fashion and festivals including Mission Chinese restaurant’s Brooklyn location have opened Sync, a light and audio installation at 199 Water.

FAMILY THEATER AT BMCC’S TPAC
BMCC’s Tribeca Performing Arts Center has a new slate of family programming for the 2019-2020 season, including clown Jamie Adkins, an adaptation of the Eric Carle’s classic “Very Hungry Caterpillar,” a musical review of “Dragons Love Tacos,” Peter Pan and a musical based on “Click Clack Moo.” Some of these will also be offered as a daytime show.
