Seen & Heard: Greenwich Street Tavern opens today

GREENWICH STREET TAVERN IS BACK
Checked in with owner Joe DiGalbo and Greenwich Street Tavern opens today at 4p. “We have been closed since Dec 20th but finally are ready to get back in action.” Yay.

BALLGOWNS FOR WASHINGTON STREET
The designers Badgley Mischka have opened what looks like a showroom at 466 Washington, just south of Canal, (spotted by Jolene Howard). The two — Mark Badgley and James Mischka — met at Parsons and started the company in 1988. Their corporate showroom is on West 52nd. As Jolene noted, this is not the best time to be in the ballgown business…

RALLY AGAINST HATE CRIMES
J. sent from the rally in Foley Square on Sunday, held to protest a wave of attacks on Asian Americans, including a large number of elderly people. The stabbing of a 36-year-old Asian American man last week was the latest reported incident here, but similar incidents are being reported across the nation. The mayor, Chuck Schumer and New York Attorney General Letitia James were all in attendance.

  1. I walked by that Badgley Mischka recently and took a double take. I’m glad I wasn’t imagining it.

  2. Great photo captured from the Stop Asian Hate rally.
