One White Street will bring back its farmstand

One White Street launched its own farm in Columbia County to make sure it could source just the right veggies for the restaurant, and they are once again bringing some of their produce from there down here on Tuesdays starting tomorrow, 9a to 3p. They will eventually add in Fridays.

The farm, Rigor Hill, designed by Eliot Coleman of Four Seasons Farm in Maine and Stone Barns at Blue Hill, will sell some of the produce that is showcased on the menu at OWS, such as snap peas, snow peas, turnips, radishes, lettuce, fennel, etc.

The restaurant has also taken the lease of the former Café Clementine space next door and plans to make that a small market; the farm stand will preview some seasonal pastries and baked goods — muffins, cookies — from there in the meantime.
