Seen & Heard: Duane Park Patisserie is serving

DUANE PARK PATISSERIE IS SERVING
Madeline Lanciani wrote to say that she has a new daytime menu of savory tartes, sandwiches and rolitos rellenos AND a curated list of wines now at Duane Park Patisserie. Coming soon: a beer selection, and after that, in January, an “after hours” menu of a la carte desserts, along with the wines, coffees and other special beverages like hot cider and mulled wine. Hours for now are still 8a to 6p. More TK when that rolls out.

JUST SALAD IS ON PARK PLACE
Maybe I am just losing it, but I was somehow surprised to see Just Salad open on Park Place between Broadway and Church. And it turns out it has been there since 2015. Not sure where I have been. Anyway, every nine years I will post a reminder.

TRIBECA BRIDAL DISTRICT: VIVIENNE BRIDAL
Finally got a shot of Vivienne Bridal, which added to what I am calling the Tribeca Bridal District about a year ago. See more on the district here.

A NEW DEEDEE?
Just in case this is a new one, saw this Dee Dee — but of course now I have forgotten where. I think on Walker?? It’s title is “We Thought The Locust Cloud Was Honeybees.”

  1. No one can fault a business for wanting to change, improve, expand. I wish Duane Park Patisserie the best of luck with their proposed menu modifications and additions, however…I have to say that the location’s “customer service” has definitely suffered as of late. The gents that I usually find working the counter are not welcoming at all and appear to be rather unhappy (or stressed) and in turn, are unpleasant and impersonal. It’s probably not going to stop me from making my occasional purchase (their product is still quite good), but it has really tainted the “feel” of walking into a friendly neighborhood establishment, which is how it used to be. Just sayin’.
