Seen & Heard: Whole Foods’s New Restaurant

••• Troy Torrison sent in another photo of the Hudson Square Garbage Garage: “Looks smaller from this angle. But the addition to the building on Charlton and Greenwich looks massive.” Doesn’t it though! (Click to see what I mean.) The Charlton building is being expanded to the south, too? Can someone tell me which building this is (and what’s going on)? (Says Troy: “I used to work in that building in 1999. It was full of Internet outfits. It’s been getting renovated for years. My guess is it’ll stay commercial but possibly not.”) UPDATE: “The first photo shows the office building under development at 330 Hudson (Hudson between Charlton and Vandam), NOT the trash facility and not Greenwich,” says Falgovera in a comment.

••• From Whole Foods Tribeca: “This Sunday Aug. 26, our Genji Restaurant venue will be closing and soon after we will be opening a Dosateria. Don’t worry we will still offer Sushi to go.” As you can see from the graphic, it’s a co-branded venture with Café Spice, and it’ll sell dosas (“authentic Indian crepe[s] made from various grains, rice, and lentils”), uttapams, lassis (“Indian smoothies”), and something called Bombay Frankies.

••• The new Chipotle at Greenwich and Murray is open. At 12:15 p.m., there had to be at least 5o people in line.

••• Came across this photo from SYNLawn New York of a rooftop putting green on Twitter. Father’s Day is practically around the corner!
