Seen & Heard: Drybar Delayed

••• Sorry, ladies: The Drybar coming to W. Broadway is now hoping to open by mid-December.

••• I went to a tasting last night for a new restaurant—takeout during the day, dine-in at night—that’s in the works for Tribeca. The chef is looking for financial partners. If you’re interested (the food was fantastic and the concept should be a big hit around here), email me at tribecacitizen@gmail.com and I’ll put you in touch.

••• Please note this update/correction on the recent Nosy Neighbor post about 165 Church. (The building did get LPC approval for work.)

••• A comment from a reader named Christy: “Found out this morning that the World Financial Center Starbucks will now remain open in their current location until the end of November.”

••• At New Amsterdam Market this Sunday: “Maggie Nesciur of Flying Fox will bring a freshly-picked special from Vermont: medlars, an unusual apple-like fruit rarely found in markets that require ripening by ‘bletting,’ much like persimmons.” Also: The Peck Slip Pickle Festival will be Nov. 11.

••• Praises be! From the LMCCC: “Final asphalt repaving of Nassau Street from John to Fulton is planned for Saturday, October 27, between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. (Rain date: Nov. 3rd.) The repaving will include the Nassau-John intersection.”
