Seen & Heard: HŪSO aiming for October

HŪSO OPEN BY OCTOBER?
As a follow up to this post, the folks at HŪSO, the caviar restaurant from chef Buddha Lo, said they hope to be open in the former L’Angolo space by October.

SUMMER IN THE CITY
H. caught this shot of the humidity respite set-up for littles by KinderCare on the corner of Reade and Greenwich. Clearly toddlers were lining up for the fun. “So New York,” she wrote. (By the way, I wish I had thought of this 20 years ago — best use of a playpen ever.)

SOUND BATH FOR THE NEW PALMS
So, more about the palms! The newly planted trees (thanks to N. for the shot) at the Winter Garden will get a restorative sound bath experience on Thursday, Sept. 5, with four 20-minute sessions starting at 11:30a till 1:15p. Led by shamanic sound healing artist, Robin Kang, in collaboration with the Sonic Institute, this therapeutic and rejuvenating experience will combine multi-instrumental sacred sound, breath, and energy work. Registration opens on Monday, August 5, here.
