Seen & Heard: Gary the Dog on the loose

GARY THE DOG = BLACK RABBIT
I understand that the shoots all over the neighborhood for “Gary the Dog” are actually for the Jason Bateman/Jude Law vehicle for Netflix that has also taken over the Bridge Cafe at the Seaport. “Black Rabbit” will have eight one-hour episodes, released in mid-2025, revolving around “a New York City hotspot owner who lets his brother back into his life, which leads to dangerous consequences.”

ROSE BOX HAS CLOSED?
Rose Box, the makers of the freeze-dried rose arrangements who opened on Franklin in 2020, using the space as a retail operation and a production facility, appears to have closed the retail section, and perhaps left the block altogether. Their website is still operational however…

BUBBY’S RON SILVER SHOWS PAINTINGS
Bubby’s chef and owner Ron Silver is showing his paintings in a group show at Mriya gallery on Reade. His work reflects Japanese culture and the Renaissance. (He has several restaurants in Japan.) The show is up Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, from 6 to 11p.
