11/9 News: Like a Prayer

courtesy-barnes-and-noble1••• Legendary rap artist KRS-One will be reading from his book, The Gospel of Hip Hop: The First Instrument, at Barnes & Noble tonight at 7 p.m.

••• Technology specialist CytexOne, which is currently on the third floor of 50 Hudson (Duane/Thomas), is taking over the retail space next door (formerly home to Juniper 100).

••• On one of Interior Design‘s blogs, Ghislaine Viñas of Ghislaine Viñas Interior Design rhapsodizes about life in New York: While attending her daughter’s P.S. 234 class potluck, she learned that an artist she admires, Bill Sullivan, is a parent of one of her daughter’s classmates. (His paintings are pretty cool.)

••• Please become a fan on Facebook (search for “Tribeca Citizen”) and/or follow us on Twitter (tribecacitizen). Also, if you find yourself thinking about how nice it’d be to help me produce this wonderful neighborhood resource, act on that impulse! Send me a note at editor@tribecacitizen.com. I’ll buy you coffee, we’ll chat about about what you might do, it’ll be swell!

praying-mantis-by-tribeca-citizen1••• If you’ve been paying attention, you know how much I love the Tribeca section of the Hudson River Park—watching the grasslands along the boardwalk change with the seasons has been remarkable. (It reared up as my camera moved in for the macro shot.)
