When I realized that we should caption Asha Agnish‘s photographs of Tribeca’s signs with the exact address of the building that each sign is on, I set off with my notepad. As a New Yorker for almost 20 years now, I don’t look up so often—I just go where I’m going. It was a revelation! There was so much I had never noticed. That’s how I feel about these photographs in general (part one is here, by the way). They make me see what’s right in front of—or at least above—my eyes.
