Not That Tiger

“Express Your Inner Tiger at MOCA!” read the subject line of a recent email, which I have to admit raised my eyebrows…. Once I banished unpleasant thoughts about a certain professional golfer, I discovered interesting things in the email (which, I should mention, came from the Museum of Chinese in America and had to do with 2010 being the year of the tiger):

sita_x_sati• Thursdays are free at the museum, courtesy of Target. Admission is normally $7.
• This Thursday, Jan. 28, artist Jimmy Ong—”one of Singapore’s pre-eminent contemporary artists,” he currently has a show at Tyler Rollins Fine Art in Chelsea—will give a talk at 6:30 p.m. (I included this work of Ong’s especially for Todd, who has been complaining that Tribeca Citizen doesn’t have enough any nudity.)
• The museum will have weekly Chinese-language classes from Feb. 20 to May 22, for children 5 and under. Classes are on weekends and the semester costs $420.
