Tickets for the Tribeca Film Festival

Marquee, Varick St. Side (Night)Buying tickets for the Tribeca Film Festival (Apr. 22–May 2) is a bit complicated, so stick with me. First to go on sale are ticket packages—Harrison Ticket Package, Franklin Ticket Package, and Programmer’s Picks—followed by single tickets. (For package details, go here.) In each case, American Express cardholders get priority; for single-ticket sales, downtown residents get a one-day head start over the general public. Here’s a basic calendar:

Monday, Mar. 8: American Express cardholders may begin buying advance-selection ticket packages.

Monday, Mar. 15: The general public may begin buying advance-selection ticket packages.

Tuesday, Apr. 13: People with American Express cardholders may begin buying single-ticket and discounted ticket-packages.

Sunday, Apr. 18: Downtown residents may begin buying single-ticket and discounted ticket-packages. You must have proof of residency for zip codes 10013, 10004, 10005, 10006, 10007, 10038, 10048, 10280, 10281, or 10282.

Monday, Apr. 19: The general public may begin buying single-ticket and discounted ticket-packages.

Where to buy tickets: Advance ticket packages can be purchased at tribecafilm.com/festival or 866-941-3378. Single tickets can be purchased online, by phone, and at Tribeca Cinemas (54 Varick, at Laight), as well as at “an additional location to be determined.”

Call center hours:
• Mar. 8–Apr. 16: Monday to Friday, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
• Apr. 17—May 2: Seven days a week, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
• May 3–7: 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

A few more notes: VIP ticket packages are also available; see here. Also: There will be “discounts for evening and weekend screenings for students, seniors, and select downtown Manhattan residents.” Discounted single tickets may only be purchased in person, while discounted packages must be purchased online or by phone.
