Seen & Heard: Bouley Delay

••• I went to Bouley Studio at noon today, but a sign said it’s now set to open on Thursday instead. (Incidentally, I walked over to Farinella, where I had a really good lunch: a Caesar salad and a panino with broccoli rabe and mozzarella. If you’ve never checked it out, you should.)

••• Speaking of sandwiches: ScoutMob‘s deal o’ the day is 50% off at Project Sandwich, on Thompson in Soho. The offer expires in 31 hours.

••• Best Made Co. is now selling a rucksack for $240.

••• This release just came in: “Composer and conductor Julian Wachner has been named Director of Music and the Arts for Trinity Wall Street, the historic Episcopal parish in Lower Manhattan, it was announced today by the Rev. Canon Anne Mallonee, Trinity’s vicar. Wachner will oversee all liturgical, professional, and community music and arts programming at Trinity Church and St. Paul’s Chapel. As the principal conductor for the professional Trinity Choir, Wachner will lead the choir in concerts, recordings, and worship services. Wachner will assume this position on September 7, 2010.”

••• This month’s New Amsterdam Market is on a Saturday—the upcoming one—instead of a Sunday in order to coincide with the Metropolitan Waterfront Alliance‘s City of Water Day festival. If you want to join in some of the fun on Governor’s Island (or elsewhere), the Marlow & Sons stall at the market will be selling picnic totes for $30. Order by Thursday at 718-388-5700.
