In the News: Stuzzicheria Menu

by Roxanne Behr for New York

••• Grub Street gets an early look (including the menu) at Stuzzicheria: “In this slider-saturated town, there’s a new one: the panelle slider [right], a chickpea fritter topped with ricotta and caciocavallo on a brioche roll. It’s one of a dozen Italian small plates on offer at Stuzzicheria, the 50-seat Tribeca spinoff of Bar Stuzzichini, slated to open for aperitivo and dinner next Friday. Dishes like “two ricotta” crespelle with eggplant, tomato, and ricotta salata have a Southern Italian slant, and so does the wine list. The cheese-and-parsley ring sausage is made in-house, and Monday’s mussels special comes with pizza bianca and a small draft beer.”

••• Time Out New York‘s list of the 11 (why not a dozen?) best cookies in town includes the s’mores cookie from Tribeca Treats, the lemon-ginger sandwich cookie from Grandaisy Bakery, and the miso-almond cookie at Takahachi Bakery.

••• Paulo Mendes da Rocha’s steel chaise at Espasso made the New York Times.

••• Someone sent Curbed a photo from up high of Pier 25.

••• The New York Times gets jazzed about Eco-Flowers for Kids, this weekend at the Manhattan Children’s Theatre. By the way, tickets are now two-for-one: Use the code ECOKIDS at when ordering online.
