••• They’re celebrating at Il Matto today: The New York Times‘s Sam Sifton gave the restaurant (right) two stars, saying, “The service is exceptional and the food beautifully executed.”

••• Curbed says Tiger Woods is moving into the Printing House, in the West Village. I kind of thought he should look into this space….

••• Is the West Thames Park cursed? “To the many small children running and splashing among the water spouts of Battery Park City’s West Thames Park, the unintended pool at their feet added extra delight on hot summer days. But to many parents, the standing water meant the threat of disease. And for the state’s Department of Transportation, overseers of the new park’s construction, drainage remained a problem yet to be solved, even as the season drew to a close.” (Tribeca Trib)

••• Jehangir Mehta, chef of Graffiti in the East Village and Mehtaphor, opening this fall in the Duane Street Hotel, answered questions for Find.Eat.Drink. About the new restaurant, he said, “There will be new dishes and there will also be various cocktails with pastry influences.”
