Seen & Heard: New Weekly Market

••• New Amsterdam Market begins weekly markets this Sunday, through Dec. 19.

••• Moomah is now serving beer and wine: “Come in for a complimentary tasting of our wines and beers between 4pm-5pm every day this week. After tasting, comment on what you thought on our Facebook page, and you will automatically be entered into our weekly drawing. The randomly chosen winner will get lunch with a glass of wine on us!”

••• My backfat can personally vouch for the cookie of the month—bourbon pecan (right)—at Tribeca Treats.

••• On Sept. 19 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Shoofly is hosting a party in honor of the new book Periwinkle Smith and the Faraway Star.

••• The Quad Manhattan is hosting an open house today from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Also today, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., DD172 (the parent organization for the Dash Gallery, but it’s all the same space) is having a listening party for Ski Beatz’s 24 Hour Karate School. BYO hyphen.

••• The current deal on the Dealist: $25 for five classes at New Field Yoga in FiDi. For new customers only.

••• On Thursday (7–9 p.m.), Kiva Cafe throws an opening party for the new exhibit of paintings by Barbara Sinclair (left).

••• Grown & Sewn plans on staying open till 10 p.m. on Friday for Fashion’s Night Out. I can’t tell from the email, but I’m guessing there’ll be food/drinks.
