Seen & Heard: Nirvana on Display

••• Nirvana International‘s Amit Sharma opened his art and jewelry gallery in July even though his custom-built display cases weren’t ready yet. They’re finally here, and they look great. New York City being the way it is, however, the construction of One N. Moore next door means his window will be obscured by a sidewalk shed for the foreseeable future. Anyway, swing by and admire the baubles. (The very interesting artwork in the background of the above photo is by Paul Maxwell.)

••• The September Tribeca Meet & Greet will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, 6:30–9 p.m. at FasTracKids (104 Reade), with wine from Frankly Wines. Organized by the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center, it’s primarily a networking event for local business owners, but everyone is truly welcome—and the crowd is always friendly, myself excluded.

••• Today’s deal at InBundles.com: $15 for $30 worth of food/drink at Ivo & Lulu’s, at 558 Broome—never been, always meant to, not sure $15 off is going to be enough to make it happen.

••• On Sept. 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Cristina Dos Santos is hosting a reception for the artists now showing in her shop/gallery: Elena Lyakir, Christine Gilmore Barth, Jenna Lash, and Hjortur Hjartarson.

••• From Notify NYC: “Beginning September 19th there will be no access to the New Jersey bound Holland Tunnel from north bound Hudson Street in lower Manhattan due to construction. The following traffic pattern changes will be in effect through 2015.” This isn’t news, but I hadn’t thought about the end date as being 2015. Yeesh. Here’s what it looks like, if you haven’t been over there….
