Seen & Heard: Pet Costume Contest

••• This Sunday, Dudley’s Paw is hosting a Halloween party from noon to 2 p.m. The pet costume contest is at 1:30 p.m.

••• From Arts World Financial Center: “Since the spring, Arts World Financial Center has been host to artist Erik Guzman’s Weather Beacon, a high-tech kinetic sculpture that receives and decodes data from the Internet, transforming into an array of flashing lights and forecasting the weather for a curious public. Next week [Tues., Oct. 26, 6–8 p.m.], Weather Beacon will transform into a light organ that New Yorkers can play and illuminate by plugging their iPods into Guzman’s self-proclaimed “oracle for the Digital Age.” The two-hour event will kick off with song lists from New Yorkers such as musical director Kathleen Marshall (Grease) and actor Joel De La Fuente (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit).”
