(This is an old photo...)

••• The bakery/café half of Josephine, the long-awaited restaurant in Independence Plaza, soft-opens today; the wine bar will follow. More to come….

••• The emergency-medical care facility at 200 Chambers has a new name (Concierge Emergency Medical Care), as well as a grand-opening open house planned for Nov. 12 (9 a.m.–6 p.m.).

••• Curious to try a TRX class at B East? If you’ve never been there before, you can get 50% off by entering the code “eastfittrx” at checkout. Valid before Nov. 15.

••• Stop by Frankly Wines today between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. while in costume for 10% off: “YOU must be in costume. Not your kids.  Not your dog. YOU.) For purposes of this offer, the judges have deemed that animal ears and witch hats count as a costume. Lame costumes, yes. But you’ll still get the discount.” Also, on Nov. 8 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the shop will hold a Chateau Musar tasting: “I’ll be opening nearly every vintage of Musar that I have on hand,” says Christy Frank. ” From 2001 Rouge and 2000 Blanc all the way back to 1972. Maybe even further.”
