Seen & Heard: City Hall Park

••• This morning, “Bikers please dismount” signs were posted in City Hall Park’s Warren Street passageway. Maybe it’ll help, but in my experience bikers don’t respond to “please.” (I had a heck of a run-in with a biker on Church a few weeks back and I’m not quite over it.)

••• The opening of TenOverTen, the nail salon coming to the second floor of 112 Reade (a.k.a. 109 W. Broadway, a.k.a. where Delphi used to be), has been pushed to next month.

••• Here are the hours for the Steven Alan sample sale: 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 18–19; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 20; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 21. It’s at 87 Franklin, and they’ll be accepting cash, Visa, Mastercard, and Amex.

••• Get $5 off this weekend’s performances of the Manhattan Children’s Theatre‘s new show, Lula Belle in Search of Santa: “Just use the code ‘FIVE’ when ordering tickets for any of our opening weekend shows.”

••• From Tribeca Clayworks: “At our open house [Wednesday, Nov. 17, 6:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.], you can come work with the clay, meet our instructors, and see if the class is for you! Our fully equipped studio is stocked with pottery wheels, slab rollers, clay extruder, kilns and lots of space to work! Just let us know you’re coming by calling Susan Kay at 212-766-1104 or emailing susan@downtowncommunitycenter.org.”

••• Membership applications (huh? do people get denied?) for Red Jacket Orchards winter fruit CSA are due Nov. 14. What to expect: apples; juices; canned apricots; jams; apple butter; apple sauce. Distribution is at 92YTribeca. Half shares are $10, full shares $17.
